Description
Flowers reddish-purple; wings most colorful; keel coiled. Flwrs axillary, long stalked; few at a time. Leaflets 3, linear-elliptic ca1.5"-2+" (4-6 cm.). Wild in Fl. not rare. Loves variable conditions from part shade to full sun. Grows without irrigation; mostly bushy with some twiners, thin stems. also called Phaseolus lathyroides.
